Coaching For Beginners:

As a coach in the great sport of soccer you will experience some exciting events that will not only be rewarding
but also challenging to say the least.

Most people start coaching soccer for several reason, listed below are some but believe me there are a lot more.

1)  For a positive direction in their lives.
2)  A better bonding with their child who plays the sport.
3)  As a social aspect to meet new people.
4)  They need a challenge in their lives.
5)  They love working with kids.
6)  They want to see their children develop more social skills and meet new friends or they are totally
bored at home and need to get a life.

Any of the above mentioned reasons are a good reason to start coaching this great sport or any sport really.
My story of which many can relate to (a divorce) began with coaching my sons soccer team, learning as much
as I could,as quicky as I could about the game.

I never played soccer in my life! but as a school boy in Brisbane I managed to make Queensland School
Boys Leaque Team and I was very active in all kinds of sports at that age.

Sport to me is a thrill, I can mould players into champions and then take on a new team and repeat the exercise.
Some I have coached have come back to me after 5 or so years and thanked me for the experience and the
knowledge I passed on.

Coaching can be fun and as a beginner coach you can go as far as you like in this great sport they call soccer or football.
Get some videos, DVDs or books on coaching and soccer and study as much as you can. Ive always believe that
knowledge is power and as you get more into this great sport you will find it becomes easier to mould those young
minds into champions of the future.
And of course when they are earning 10 million dollars or pounds a year playing for Man United or other great teams
they will remember you ( Ya! right ).
